Making Connections over Beehives
Making connections over beehives. Half Mad Honey is not just another beekeeping farm, but an urban organization that is rooted in education, growth, peer support, and recovery. At Half Mad Honey, we believe connections and healing happen around a hive. We love honey bees and want to share that love and lessons from our pollinators with the community around us.

We are proud to present our new "Mindful Bee Hive Tour." A lot of people get scared of the word "bees!" A fear elevates and may trigger the fight or flight response, due to an immediate fear of being stung. In the apiary, a beekeeper must be cool, calm, and grounded to avoid getting stung. The difference between other hive tours and ours is that we incorporate mindfulness and sensory grounding with honey bee education.

Half Mad Honey's name references the "Mad Pride Movement" which advocates to normalize mental wellness in society. Our mission is to bring therapeutic experiences outside of the clinical setting and into the apiary.  We are intentional about creating a safe space for everyone to practice stress reduction coping skills and connecting with nature. Tours are FREE (sponsored by PIDC) to the community.

Sustainability
(isn't a marketing scheme)

Like a bee who waste no space with ergonomic hexagon combs, we as beekeepers strive to do the same. Our packaging is repurposed, reusable, and recyclable for sustainability.
